Chapter 746 Dust
Li Qi preached to Shariputra.
As Li Qi preached, the surrounding scenes began to unfold. Water was like lochia, famine fell on the earth, and countless dead people, filthy and smelly places, and unclean people began to appear. Countless emotions were pent up, including greed, anger, laziness, teasing, shamelessness, suspicion, jealousy, hatred, unwillingness, flattery, shamelessness, shamelessness, jealousy, and indulgence.
Looking carefully, there were two monsters next to them who were almost starving to death. They had not eaten for a long time. They heard that there was endless fish and meat here, so they rushed here step by step, covered in mud.
In the distance, there were babies all over the ground. This place was originally a school, but now it was looted by bandits. Babies were under horse hooves and people's feet, their livers and brains were splattered on the ground, and the fields were filled with sobs.
In the distance, there were ditches and ponds. The killing was over, but there were piles of corpses on the ground, hands and feet were pillowed, and the flesh and blood corpses entered the pond and turned into five colors, and the pond was flat.
Under the famine, there were big demons plundering slaves, countless small demons with their hair exposed and their feet deep in the mud, some people led many women, many demons tied long ropes around their necks, connected together, like a string of beads, and were led to the residence of the big demons.
Previously, all the demons committed evil deeds, fell into evil ways, and had evil views and thoughts, like a black wind filling the world.
These were all brought about by natural disasters and famine.
That's why Yunjing would offer his body to feed all living beings, but there is always a limit to his strength, so he appeared in this state.
As Li Qi began to spread the Dharma, light grew out from behind Li Qi.
A breeze blew over the floating islands, washing them to the extreme.
But I saw clean rain falling from the sky, and when it landed, all things grew.
The wounded and sick recovered, the disabled were reborn, and the barren land regained vitality, trees began to bear fruit, farmland sprouted again, and quickly matured, full of plump crops.
Famine was solved in an instant.
"But seeing that the five aggregates are empty, all the foolish mortals in the world are greedy for pleasure, toiling their bodies, and seeking meaningless benefits."
"The Buddhas are not like this. They only benefit others, not themselves. They understand the Dharma well, see the Dharma in silence, live in the sentence of peace and happiness, have no desire and no suffering, and obtain the four meditations." Li Qi said to Yunjing.
"If you do this, you can create greater goodness, protect more people with your compassion, and don't have to sacrifice yourself. How about it? Are you willing to learn the Dharma?"
While Li Qi was speaking, he saw... Although the famine has eased, it has not ended.
This strange phenomenon appeared, and it should be enough for everyone to eat, but the big monsters and bandits began to rob the grace of heaven.
They plundered the weak, and they would not stop plundering because the weak had food, nor would they choose to stop because the weak had no food.
All of this was seen by Yunjing.
In Yunjing's original idea, if all living beings had meat to eat, there would be no disputes. As long as everyone ate him, it would be the same as saving birds and beasts before.
But now it is different. Birds and beasts will not hurt each other when they are full, but these monsters are different.
They have thoughts and advanced wisdom, so they do not plunder for survival, but for the Tao they practice.
Maybe they themselves do not know, but when they act, they may be swept up by the world, or they may like it, but in any case, they use this "Tao" as a criterion to plunder.
All living beings are stained with desires and covered by ignorance, so there are "man-made disasters".
Yunjing looked at everything Li Qi created.
Then, relying on the Great Light Mirror, he suddenly understood what Li Qi meant by "spreading the Dharma".
Spreading Buddhism can prevent such things.
However, when the idea of spreading the Dharma appeared...
Li Qi suddenly felt that Yunjing could no longer feel his will.
The Great Light Mirror disappeared.
Li Qi suddenly realized...
Obsession, this is obsession.
The original Yunjing did not have any obsession, but just floated in the sky naturally and did things according to his own will.
But Li Qi showed him the power of Buddhism and the desires of all living beings.
So, he had the obsession of "spreading the Dharma".
With the obsession, the tranquility was gone.
Yunjing's mind was tainted with dust, and the bright mirror was not shining, so his state of mind was broken.
But at this time, Yunjing struggled and made a sound. He said, "Please... spread the Dharma to me, I want to practice."
Li Qi looked at Yunjing in front of him.
His body had been torn into pieces. Originally, he did not feel pain, but at this moment, he was scratching his heart and liver, and had an urgent urge to practice and save all living beings.
Li Qi looked at Yunjing in front of him and suddenly felt self-doubt.
Is it really a good thing to pass on the Dharma to him? Is he really Shariputra?
But now that it has been done, it is not good to regret it.
Yunjing's obsession has arisen, and the Great Bright Mirror has been covered with dust. Only practice can save it.
Li Qi stopped talking and continued to preach.
The sound of Sanskrit was resounding, the heavenly mind was outstanding, the understanding was profound, the wit was clear and the debate was clear, and the inside and outside were comprehensive.
The Buddha said that strange phenomena would appear, and various lights would be emitted. The brightness was mixed with blue, yellow, red, white, and agate, illuminating the three thousand.
Golden lotuses continued to bloom around Li Qi, and the flowers were exquisite, each with a thousand petals, pure gold, with glass stems, diamond whiskers, and roses as stands, in a large round shape, like a wheel.
Various strange phenomena were exquisite and dignified, the best and incomparable, with thirty-two marks and eighty kinds of beauty adorning their bodies.
Some made thunderous sounds, or rained, or emitted electric light, or revived wind, or emitted smoke and flames like a mass of fire, or manifested the seven treasures, various mountains, pools, springs, rivers, mountains, forests, and trees, and various magical things.
Li Qi's lectures were profound and easy to understand. The fourth-rank master gave a lecture in person. The subtlety and depth of the lectures were beyond words. It was a rare opportunity.
Even the stones and the breeze beside him had awakened their wisdom on the third day of Li Qi's lectures. They bowed to Li Qi, called him a disciple, and performed the disciple ceremony.
However, Yun Jing's eyes were still blank.
The stones listening to the lectures beside him had been transformed into monsters by Li Qi's lectures, but Yun Jing still didn't feel anything. He seemed to not understand.
Li Qi had no choice but to continue to lecture.
Finally, on the seventh day, Yun Jing finally learned a little bit. He hurriedly thanked Li Qi and said, "I... I seem to understand!"
Li Qi then stopped his lectures: "Since you have entered the door, the rest can only be done by yourself."
Li Qi disappeared again, leaving Yun Jing below.
Yun Jing then bid farewell to Li Qi, and then greeted the surrounding stones, lotus, and breeze.
Shitou, Lianhua, and Qingfeng also communicated with Yunjing. As the front row of Li Qi's lecture, the four demons hit it off at first sight and agreed to unite as one, help each other, and practice together.
So, Qingfeng volunteered to carry the rest of Yunjing's body back, Lianhua said that she could sew up his body, and Shitou stayed here with Yunjing to wait for them.
So Yunjing was extremely grateful to them.
The other three said that their opportunities came from Yunjing, and they could call each other brothers and sisters, which was all right.
The four demons established a relationship, and Yunjing seemed to think that these three people should be closer to him.
You know, before today, Yunjing never had the word "close" in his eyes.
At that time, he treated all living things equally, without distinction between close and distant.
But now, he feels that Shitou, Qingfeng, and Lianhua are closer to him than other living beings. He doesn't know other living beings, but these three brothers are willing to be with him.
It seems that they are indeed more worthy of friendship than other living beings.
Or to put it another way...
All sentient beings are equal, but these three brothers are more equal in Yunjing's heart.
When this thought came, Yunjing's dusty mirror seemed to become even darker.
The original Buddha nature was also gradually disappearing.
For the sake of sentient beings, there are various distinctions.
The distinction of all the entrances is infinite, and it is all suffering. Those who know all the realms call it division. It is also called nature and suffering.
When there is a distinction, there is a discriminating mind. With a discriminating mind, sentient beings are no longer equal.
Yunjing didn't know this. He just gradually changed from the original lofty Buddha nature to human nature.
Is it good or bad?
Li Qi didn't know, he just watched everything silently.
He could only guess... If it was Shariputra, then all this must be fine, right?
But what Li Qi didn't expect was...
The four monsters who listened to the Dharma, Yunjing, Stone, Qingfeng, and Lotus, put Yunjing's body together, and then began to travel around and practice.
The four monsters were determined to spread the Dharma, but soon encountered setbacks.
The first bandit they encountered was unwilling to follow the Dharma and wanted to kill them.
They said a thousand things, but they would not listen.
So, when faced with swords and axes, they could only resist, but accidentally killed the bandits.
The other bandits were shocked when they saw this, and then knelt down to express their willingness to follow the Dharma.
The four demons suddenly realized, and they discussed with each other, whether this method could be considered as making people believe in the Dharma?
Yunjing and Lianhua thought it was inappropriate, but Shitou and Qingfeng thought it was feasible.
They didn't believe it after talking for a long time before, but now they are all willing, which shows that this method is useful.
After that, the four demons each used their own methods to spread the Dharma. Although they had differences, they still had a good relationship and trusted each other.
Next, in the process of spreading the Dharma, there were many stories.
Each story is the process of the four demons fighting wits and courage with other demons, trying to make others believe in the Dharma and build a beautiful world without distinction.
However, ten years later, they all encountered different setbacks.
Shitou and Qingfeng, who wanted to spread it by killing, met opponents they could not kill.
As for Lotus and Cloud Whale, they were not good at speaking, and no one listened to their speeches. They could only rely on donations to influence believers.
So the four demons gathered again to discuss solutions.
The result of the discussion was that they felt that it might be that their practice was not enough and their cultivation was too low. If their cultivation was higher, all these problems could be solved.
So they stopped preaching and started practicing.
This practice lasted another twenty years.
The four demons were all extremely talented and quickly reached the eighth level, which was considered a master in this area.
So they went out to preach again.
However, this time, they encountered a more difficult experience.
They found that the "bad guys" they had targeted before were not necessarily all bad guys.
Two good forces may fight each other, and two good people may become mortal enemies.
Even the same contradictions had occurred among the four of them.
Their goals were the same, and they knew how good each other was, but in the process of implementation, they would inevitably encounter contradictions, and Stone and Lotus often quarreled because of this.
Fortunately, Cloud Whale could always mediate between them.
But over time, Yunjing also began to feel confused.
Choosing to follow the guidance of Buddhism means that one must trudge through many complex moral problems and painful dilemmas.
These doubts constantly troubled him and entangled his heart.
Why? Why do everyone hate each other when they are all good people?
They are obviously doing good things, but why are the practices and attitudes of both sides completely opposite?
Yunjing began to think.
Li Qi was full of expectations.
But after a few years, Li Qi found that Yunjing could not figure it out.
He didn't know, and his cultivation realm began to slow down.
He could endure pain because of compassion, but he didn't have so much perseverance and perseverance to persist in cultivation. Many things were not something you could just grit your teeth and hold on.
Pain can be endured because it is clear, but cultivation itself is to find a possible way forward in the dark land, which is much more difficult than enduring pain.
He couldn't improve his realm, so he decided to improve his cultivation.
This is also the advantage of Yunjing. After all, Yunjing has a large body, and the inner world is naturally large. Under the same realm, it can accommodate more cultivation.
With more cultivation, his combat power will naturally increase a lot.
So, without a breakthrough in his realm, he began to think of ways to improve his cultivation and combat power. Only with sufficient combat power guarantee can he guarantee the transmission of the Dharma.
Unconsciously, his actions have become more and more "purposeful" and planned, and Yunjing has become more and more mature, no longer as simple as before.
The Great Bright Mirror is getting more and more dusty, and the more he thinks, the less bright it becomes.
Li Qi looked at it, but felt that it was getting more and more wrong...
But he did not take action, and still looked at it. After sixty years, the four monsters still did not change their original intentions. They all rose to the eighth rank, and when they joined forces, they could even defeat the seventh rank.
They did rely on force, the transmission of the Dharma, and various means to establish a small Buddhist country nearby.
In this Buddhist country, the people are grateful for the illumination of the Dharma and the four monsters who love the people with benevolence.
Thanks to the Buddha's teachings, the public has learned that only by helping each other, understanding each other, and resolving the differences, jealousy and hatred in their hearts can this place where they live together be free from disasters.
In the kingdom, all the people respect the Three Jewels more, believe deeply in Buddhism, and truly believe in and practice it. Therefore, the weather has always been good, and the country is peaceful and the people are safe.
Every time the four monsters pass by, the people prostrate themselves on the ground with joy and worship them respectfully. The public seems to be able to feel their kindness and brightness.
They believe that their kingdom is as described in Buddhism, bright, compassionate, and kind.
Until a devout little monk accidentally discovered everything the four monsters did to establish and maintain this kingdom.
The little monk was horrified.
It turned out that the four monsters had committed more murders than the devil.
At the same time, the four monsters also noticed the existence of the little monk.
