Just a Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor

Chapter 368 Mrs. Matthew

This old witch named Mrs. Matthew is a witch who doesn't seem to be easy to get in touch with.

She has the long hooked nose that is characteristic of most witches in Western animation, her face is full of wrinkles and age spots, and her hair is gray and white.

While greeting Bloom, her eyes were always on Sherlock.

Bloom seems to get along well with his mentor, and he doesn't appear to be too restrained in his speech and behavior.

"Teacher, you know that things in the Time Hall are really busy. Besides, didn't I take some time out to see you today?"

"Huh, you came here specifically to see me and brought someone here that I don't know?"

Hearing that their conversation had turned to him, Sherlock stopped being silent and introduced himself.

"Good morning, Mrs. Matthew, I am Sherlock Forrest, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts."

Looking at Sherlock, Mrs. Matthew didn't show any special expression on her face.

"Oh, Mr. Forrest, although I am an old woman who doesn't know much about the world, of course I have heard of your name recently, so what's the reason for you to come to me, an old woman like me?"

The rocking chair beneath her was shaking slightly, but she was holding hot tea steadily in her hand. She said polite words, but in fact she didn't ask Sherlock and Bloom to sit down at all, and she had no intention of entertaining guests.

Bloom's face looked a little embarrassed. He knew that his teacher usually had a weird temper, but he was not completely rude.

Just when he wanted to speak out to adjust the atmosphere, Sherlock had already spoken before him.

"I would like to ask you about [Time Scrap]."

Bloom is a typical Ravenclaw, that is, a technical geek. He has been doing research in the Department of Mysteries all year round and is not very familiar with the world.

Mrs. Matthew's gesture is actually expressing her dissatisfaction with Sherlock in some aspects.

Although Sherlock himself can be sure that today is the first time he has met this old witch, and he has never offended her in any way before, in fact, the position Sherlock is in now is just a statement.

Maybe this Mrs. Matthew had a good relationship with Scrimgeour in the Ministry of Magic before, or maybe she had a good personal relationship with a pure-blood family who was arrested because of Sherlock. There must be many reasons.

So Sherlock didn't want to make any amends now. He went straight to the subject, and he probably knew what her attitude was.

Mrs. Matthew's voice still had that same light tone.

"[Shichi]? There are really not many people who still pay attention to this. What aspect do you want to know?"

"I want to know, if this kind of thing is absorbed by the human body, is it possible to take it out?"

"Human body absorption? Ha."

Mrs. Matthew chuckled lightly and put down the teacup in her hand, as if she had discovered something extraordinary.

"This is not a simple problem. Anyone who has studied time a little bit knows that [time crumbs] have no form. Unless special methods are used, normal wizards cannot even touch it."

Her words made Sherlock understand other meanings, and his eyes became a little brighter when he looked at Mrs. Matthew.

"It's not a simple question. Has this ever happened to you before?"

Mrs. Matthew picked up the teacup expressionlessly again and took a sip.

"You are asking me this. Does it have anything to do with the fight against the mysterious man and the Death Eaters?"

Sherlock didn't lie, he said calmly.

"It doesn't matter, it's just a personal matter about me."

"Then please come back." Mrs. Matthew said without mercy, "If it is related to fighting against the mysterious man, I don't mind putting aside some things and providing you with some help, but since it is your private matter, I don't want to interfere. It’s necessary.”

Bloom on the side suddenly became a little anxious.

"Teacher, you and Mr. Forrester probably have nothing to do with each other, right? Why can't you help him?"

Sherlock said nothing, he really wanted to know the reason.

Mrs. Matthew sneered.

"It is true that he has nothing to do with me, but that old guy Dumbledore has a problem with me. From a big perspective, I don't care about some of the personal grudges in the past, but since it is the private matter of Dumbledore's professors, I helped other than letting him What good can it do besides adding trouble myself?"

Bloom wanted to say something else, but Mrs. Matthew interrupted him before he could open his mouth.

"I think your work is still not busy enough. Mel, you help out with everything. When I have time, I will write to old Jones. Is the Department of Mysteries so slack now?"

Only now did Sherlock know why he had never seen this old witch, but he had been disliked since he entered the door.

The reason turned out to be Dumbledore.

Nowadays, anyone who watches the news knows that Sherlock is almost treated as his successor by Dumbledore. The best thing about the two of them is that they changed their names to Sherlock Dumbledore.

If he had a grudge against Dumbledore before, it would be normal to hate him so much now.

Sherlock took a deep look at Mrs. Matthew and finally thanked her.

"Thank you for your hospitality today, madam. Since you are not welcome to me, I will leave first."

Mrs. Matthew didn't show any sign of farewell, as if she didn't hear what he said, and she was still drinking her tea quietly on the recliner.

Bloom also said goodbye to the old witch in a low voice, and followed Sherlock to leave with him.

When they walked to the door, Bloom apologized.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Forrest, my teacher's personality is a bit strange, I will persuade her later."

Sherlock was not so depressed, he even comforted Bloom in return.

"I've troubled you a lot today, Mel, it doesn't matter if Mrs. Matthew has a prejudice against me, I will go back and ask Dumbledore about the matter, and there will be another chance in the future."

Just as he said this, before his hand reached the wooden door of the yard to open it, someone outside the door had already pushed the door and walked in.

The person who came in was a middle-aged wizard, he looked fierce, with a narrow scar on his face, and he looked like he was not a character that could be easily messed with.

The moment Sherlock saw him, he frowned.

He felt that the wizard's time of entering the room was a bit wrong. Because he didn't have the habit of keeping the control field open all the time and wasting his energy, Sherlock didn't know when he came or whether he heard their conversation.

Just as Sherlock frowned, the wizard suddenly grabbed his arm!
