Talk to You About This Book

In a week or two, this book will be available on the shelves around February 1st.

I haven't chatted with you all for a long time, so I'll tell you about the situation of this book this time.

Looking back a few months ago, I nervously handed the first draft of this book to the editor. The editor read it for a long time, and then sent me a message in the QQ pop-up window:

What is the psychological expected score?

I hesitated for a while before typing: 1,000 average subscriptions. I will continue writing if it's 1,000 average subscriptions.

The reason for the hesitation is that although the author has just come to Qidian, he is not a newcomer.

He has achieved some results outside.

However, any outside author who comes to Qidian will inevitably feel nervous.

In particular, I am writing a relatively [special] and less commercialized topic in the online literature market.

Moreover, it is not the most common topic of cool articles I wrote before.

Can I really do it?

I have been asking myself.

However, I still want to try.

I am already in my thirties this year, and I have written books with millions of words and made a lot of money.

But, up to now, I have not written a book that I am really satisfied with.

I feel that [something] in my heart has not been realized. I don't want to wait any longer. So I wrote this book.

I told the editor, "I will continue writing if I get 1,000 average subscriptions", but in fact, it was also to reassure the editor.

1,000 average subscriptions, at least it will not affect his performance.

But, in fact, I thought in my heart:

Even if no one reads this book, I will continue to write it with a thick skin.

I have already finished the outline of the whole book, at least 2 million words.

I swore this secretly in a somewhat naive way. My heart is as solid as a rock.

But despite this, I was really nervous about the expectations of the results.

Even scared.

As a newcomer to Qidian, can I really achieve results by writing a non-commercial topic?

The editor told me: It should be possible, I think it's pretty good.

But I can read uncertainty in his tone. He is a little nervous like me.

So I said: Then should I publish the book now?

He said: No, we save the manuscript to make sure there are no problems with the writing later before publishing.

So we saved the manuscript for two months, and deleted and revised it countless times in the middle.

When I wrote books before, I always published them as soon as I wrote them. I have never experienced this battle.

The total manuscript is close to 200 chapters, and more than 100 chapters were deleted and revised. The manuscript of more than 200,000 words was directly scrapped.

Only then did I slowly find the right rhythm.

But it was all worth it.

I am basically satisfied with the current manuscript.

Of course, I also heard many readers say that it is watery, slow, and some details have logical problems.

They are right. I did not handle some plots well, which are not so natural and smooth.

This is my problem, and I know it well.

But this is actually an improved manuscript. The original manuscript had much bigger problems.

At the same time, because this book is not a fast-paced and refreshing article, I have to often write some necessary foreshadowing, foreshadowing and information filling in the creation. These contents are not so friendly to read and seem a bit watery, but they are actually necessary and have to be written. Because the update speed of the new book period is slow, these problems are magnified.

I write down all these problems.

I will continue to improve. I will keep working hard.

I want to do the best within my ability.

I promise, guarantee, and swear to my readers on this point.

I will also keep reading everyone's feedback.

However, just like a famous metaphor in the online literature industry:

The author's writing is more like a bus with a fixed route, rather than a taxi company, which constantly adjusts the destination according to the destination needs of each reader.

The outline of this book has been basically finalized, and I am confident that it will satisfy everyone as a whole story in the end.

Appropriately absorbing feedback will make our story more complete. However, if I incorporate every feedback into the book without selection, then in fact, the needs of each reader will be different, and eventually conflict with each other. Some readers will be satisfied, while others will be disappointed, which will eventually affect the overall readability of the book.

Therefore, my many silent readers don't worry. I will write the book according to my plan, stick to what I want to express, and strive to present a complete story of millions of words.

I would also like to point out that this book is actually a slow-burning book.

It is just a pleasant surprise to be on the new book list.

I really didn't expect that a newcomer account writing a book of this theme could achieve good results.

I really thank my readers and brothers for their support!

I have actually prepared for the first few hundred orders and to bury my head in writing millions of words.

So, I am really humbled.

On the one hand, I am very grateful for your support for this book.

On the other hand, I am also worried that the subsequent plot will not satisfy everyone.

I can only work harder and do my best to repay the support of my brothers and sisters.

Please believe that the slow-burning long-term plot that gradually unfolds after hundreds of thousands of words and one million words is what I really want to express. At that time, I will definitely bring you more exciting plots and deeper touches!

I hope we can stay together until then!

At the same time, after the book is put on the shelves, the update speed of this book will also be accelerated. As long as the speed is fast enough, some seemingly watery plots (although they are necessary for the plot) will not affect the reading so much.

Of course, all this is still based on the premise of ensuring quality.

I think no one is willing to subscribe to a book that looks good in the early stage but collapses in the middle stage.

What I want to strive to do is to have a beginning and an end, a long-term explosion, and the more I write, the better it looks.

This is what I want to explain to everyone.

I am a little nervous, please forgive me for the grammatical errors~

I will open a single chapter before the book is put on the shelves to talk to you about some issues that everyone cares about.

Thank you!!
