Transmigrated as the Crown Prince

Chapter 526 Molotov

After a busy day at work, Molotov dragged his tired body out of the building.

When he walked to the car parked at the door, Molotov did not get in directly as usual, but turned his head to take a look at the magnificent Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.

It is a bit ironic or funny that this Ministry of Foreign Affairs building was built according to the design of the German Crown Prince. More than ten years ago, the German Crown Prince, who visited the Soviet Union for the first time, gave eight architectural draft drawings as gifts to Comrade Stalin. Comrade Stalin fell in love with these drawings at first sight and couldn't let them go. He started construction soon after.

The first building to be started and completed was the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building. The entire building is 172 meters high and has 27 floors. The architectural art style of the building presents strong ideological characteristics. Combining the elements of the new Renaissance, neoclassicism and empire style, the designer deliberately designed the building into a stepped shape to set off the rising momentum of the central tower. Such a design shows a restrained and calm form, ignoring the perspective effect of people looking up at the building from the ground. Coupled with the prominent design of the vertical elements, looking up makes people feel that this building is extremely powerful!

In addition, Moscow University, Leningrad Hotel, Model Worker Apartment, Ministry of Heavy Industry Building, Ukrainian Hotel, and Cultural Person Apartment were built one after another.

He didn't think much about it on weekdays, but today he suddenly thought that this might be a means for the German crown prince to consume the Soviet Union's national strength? If these large buildings were not built with a large army, how many tanks, planes, and cannons could be built with the money and resources saved?

It would be too terrible if that were the case!

How old was Crown Prince Yannick at that time, and he was thinking about attacking the Soviet Union in the future? !

In addition to the building called "Seven Sisters", there is also a super-large building with a height of more than 400 meters, called the Palace of Soviets.

Molotov also saw the drawings and had to admit that it was a work of art that perfectly combined classicism and skyscrapers. Once completed, it will be the world's first building, more than 90 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower, and even the Empire State Building in the United States will be shorter.

At the top, the 75-meter-high Lenin sculpture stands in the wind, dwarfing the 46-meter Statue of Liberty and the 38-meter Rio Jesus. At the bottom of the building is a 10,000-person venue with 21,000 seats. If the palace is built, it will replace the Kremlin as the center of Soviet power and the Soviet Tower of Babel with three crowns - the world's tallest building, the world's largest single building, and the world's tallest sculpture.

However, this magnificent building, which has been built to one-fifth, stopped construction last year. Perhaps Comrade Stalin also realized that all this was a conspiracy by the Germans, or perhaps it was just because of simple financial pressure. Of course, even if Comrade Stalin found out that he was fooled by the Germans, he would not let others know.

Shaking his head in self-mockery, Molotov got into the car.

According to Molotov's habit, the driver did not drive the car directly home, but came to a small park near his home.

Molotov took a newspaper from the newsstand at the entrance of the park and handed the stall owner a coin.

Sitting on a chair in the park, flipping through newspapers carelessly, Molotov couldn't help but sigh at Germany's intelligence capabilities. This stall owner has been selling newspapers here for several years. Not long ago, he found out that this stall owner was actually a German spy. This guy's words and deeds are clearly a pure Russian, and I don't know when and why he became a German spy.

If there is any important information, write it on paper, put it in a special coin and give it to the newspaper seller. And today's information is that the Soviet Union and the United States may join forces to deal with Germany. However, Molotov suspected that Crown Prince Yannik had anticipated this situation a long time ago, and maybe he had prepared several response plans.

After staying for half an hour, Molotov left the park and returned home. In fact, he didn't really want to go home. Since his daughter Svetlana was secretly taken to Germany, he really became a "lonely old man." It feels lonely when you stay alone in a home where every step you take will echo.

After mechanically finishing the dinner prepared by the nanny in the kitchen, Molotov walked into the study, sat idly for a while, and then stood up and came to the world map hanging on the wall.

He had a hunch that the Americans would probably agree to support or sell various materials to the Soviet Union. After all, they only needed to spend some money to make the Soviet Union and Germany fight bloody, so why not.

But which route would the Americans choose?

In the original time and space, there were five routes for the United States to support the Soviet Union in World War II.

The Arctic Ocean route, after gathering from the eastern seaports of the United States, set off together, passing through Iceland, crossing the northern part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, and arriving at the Soviet Arctic Ocean port of Murmansk. This route accounted for 7% of the total aid.

The Black Sea route, starting from Egypt, went directly north, passed through the neutral country of Turkey, entered the Black Sea, and arrived at the Soviet Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, etc. The Black Sea route only began to transport materials after the Soviet Union controlled the Black Sea in 1945, so only 680,000 tons were transported, accounting for 9% of the total US transportation.

The Pacific route crossed the North Pacific Ocean and landed in the Soviet Union's Siberia region, and then was transported to the Soviet Union's European region via the Trans-Siberian Railway. The supplies transported along this route accounted for 1% of the total aid provided to the Soviet Union by the United States, Britain and other allies.

The Arctic route began transportation in 1942, but it could only be transported after the Arctic Ocean in the north of the Soviet Union thawed in the summer. The transportation volume was extremely small. By the end of the war, only 450,000 tons had been transported, accounting for 5% of the total.

Iran route. Go through the Indian Ocean, enter the Persian Gulf, land in Iran, and then transport from Iran to the Soviet Union. This route accounts for 8% of the total Allied aid to the Soviet Union.

Now that Iceland and Greenland in the North Atlantic have been occupied by the German army, it is almost impossible for the United States to take the Arctic Ocean route. The Black Sea route and the Iranian route are also completely controlled by the German army; as for the Arctic route, the Germans don’t have to worry about it. The bad climate alone is a big trouble.

That only leaves the Pacific route.

Germany doesn’t seem to be able to control the Pacific.

Even if the Germans occupied Australia, it would be 7,000 to 8,000 kilometers away from this route. Aircraft cannot be relied on. They can only rely on surface ships or underwater submarines to block it. Maybe the Pacific will become a paradise for the German Navy’s "wolf pack".

Then he turned his attention to the Soviet Union. I can’t help but think of what Yannick said last time that he wanted to divide the Soviet Union into more than a dozen countries. He also said that one of the countries would be given to him. He wanted to be the emperor, president, or general secretary, whatever he wanted.

Thinking of this, Molotov stretched out his hand, gently ran his fingers across the Soviet Union on the map, and sighed deeply.
