Complete Flowers, and Related Instructions
Finally, it's over.
The debt I planted on a whim two years ago has finally been paid off.
Sorry, I said it would be finished before the 20th, but it's still not finished. And because I was so excited, I felt like I was deflated after playing Black Monkey.
By the way, I often felt sleepy and didn't get enough sleep for two days after playing. At first I thought it was because I was tired from playing. Later I found out that it might be because I opened an electric mosquito repellent liquid during those two days, which knocked me out (
There are many things to say, I will talk about it slowly, from analyzing chapters, to creative ideas, to the future of this account.
Let's talk about the most recent chapter.
[[About the identity of the Supreme Will]]
In the last paragraph, I revealed the true identity of the Supreme Will in my setting.
(It probably looks like this)
I once said that this is a fan fiction, and the content of fan fiction exceeds everyone's imagination, which refers to the identity of the Supreme Will.
Let me introduce to you who this person is, Haviland Tuf, the protagonist of Tuf's Voyage. Tuf's Voyage is a science fiction novel written by George R.R. Martin in 1986. (I know that my writing after Greg is not exciting enough. If you want to read an exciting article, I strongly recommend this book. The protagonist is like a person without a tragic body. )
Why should such a character be made the Supreme Will?
The following is my mental journey-
As early as in the chapter description on the shelves, I mentioned that the Supreme Will in the Ring of Magic is the real ceiling according to the setting, with a guaranteed initial fire level, that is, the level of the God of Creation.
I have never agreed with the view that the Supreme Will colonizer said this.
The release of the DLC also completely confirmed the Supreme Will's status. (Ymir equated the Supreme Will with the Big Bang) and directly extinguished the ring studies that regarded the Supreme Will as an Outer God and a colonizer.
I can draw the right conclusion because I respect the text and do not easily deny what the text says.
Therefore, the other end of the text cannot be ignored, that is, the text of the finger knife of Lani, which mentions that it can hurt In the Supreme Will and related texts, the anger of the Supreme Will led to the destruction of the Eternal City.
In these texts, the Supreme's style is not that high.
In fact, in the texts related to Lani, she is only against the two fingers, not against the Supreme. But the Eternal City inherited by Lani and the knife in her hand are indeed all against the Supreme, so I still set Lani to be against the Supreme, after all, it would be a bit far-fetched to cut directly.
And the Supreme is too high, and any direct opposition to the Supreme is ridiculous. For example, Bernal, who shouted that he would make the Supreme fall into pieces, couldn't beat the Black Sword. (Think about how far apart, Supreme-Finger-Finger-God Shadow Black Sword)
So we need to find a way to be compatible with the two Supreme settings, without damaging the Supreme's style and making Lani look too much like a clown. (If you I think the last chapter of Lani is a bit clown, that's mainly because I'm too lazy to exaggerate the horror of the Supreme. Spending more space can make readers think that the Supreme is very scary and then empathize with Lani, but it's just a lighthearted plot anyway, I'm too lazy to do it)
In short, if you want to be compatible with the two texts, there are two ideas. One is the creator god in mythology, that is, although there is an act of creation, it is not absolutely inviolable. For example, Ymir in Norse mythology.
The other idea is that the Supreme represents a kind of super civilization.
Super civilization behaves like God, but can be hurt, such as the person who came into contact with the border is just an experimenter playing with a petri dish. (People often use the bacteria in the petri dish to kill the experimenter to explain why the Supreme is angry with the Eternal City, and use this to explain the two texts. Of course, this explanation is actually not very cool.)
A super civilization, an experimenter, and at the same time, it must be cool. At this time, a name comes to my mind.
Yes, it's Tuf.
The setting of Tuf perfectly fits all ideas. He is related to bioengineering and backed by super civilization. Most importantly, in the original work, Tuf's story is a cover story of God. In the end, Tuf even regarded himself as such, using God-like means to solve the thorny problems of various planets like a biblical fable.
How did I find the character Tuf? How did I see the novel Tuf's Voyage?
The following is an interview with Lao Zei before the release of The Ring:
"——By the way, what was the opportunity for Mr. Martin to participate in the development of this game?
Miyazaki: I have always been a fan of Mr. Martin's books. In addition to A Song of Ice and Fire, the original work of Game of Thrones, I have also read Fever Night Dreams, Tuf's Voyage series, and Ace of Change series. Our company's chairman, Mr. Nakajima (Eiichi Nakajima), still remembers this, so he contacted Mr. Martin with a try-it attitude. Unexpectedly, Mr. Martin seemed to know the work Dark Souls, so I unexpectedly got the opportunity to communicate with him.
"
After seeing this interview, I read all the books mentioned by Lao Zei in various interviews while waiting for the release of The Ring. (There is one series I haven't read, the Eternal Champions series. I'm a lazy guy and don't want to read books that don't have Chinese versions.)
I once had the idea of writing a novel for the French Ring, but later gave up. Half a year later, when the popularity of the French Ring faded, I wrote this book on a whim and recalled the content I read in preparation.
By the way, both Tuf's Voyage and Ace of Changes in the interview feature powerful alien civilizations using biotechnology to change the original ecology. (Variety Ace is highly not recommended)
Anyway, I thought of Tufu, and then I thought of the promotional image that caused the audience to cheer when the Ring of Magic was first announced, which looked like this——
Therefore, this fan not only mentioned various works of Lao Zei, but also mentioned various works of Martin, and incorporated science fiction elements into it.
The Rama mentioned in the last chapter is from Arthur Clark's "Encounter with Rama". The spaceship in it is to turn the residents into basic materials and assemble the required biological maintenance spacecraft when needed. This is one of the inspirations for the plan of returning all members of the Golden Tree to heaven. The previously mentioned spacecraft absorbing solar energy and sailing is also a plot in this book.
The idea of "The Supreme Will Is Tuf" is a new thing I wanted to write besides the nameless rant about the Round Table Hall at the beginning, the plot analysis of Millicent of the Valkyrie, and helping Melina light the fire. This thing is at the end, so luckily I persisted until the end and still maintained my enthusiasm. Apart from these plots, other stories are actually just filler, and it can be seen that they are often written without seriousness.
This idea, as well as the final ending of the starry sky with all members, can be regarded as an idea that I had very early on, and Serui came about because of this. (requires a shipboard AI)
In short, with the introduction of Tufu, although the ending may not be as romantic and passionate, it still has a beginning and an end. Some storylines, such as the twists and turns where Wu Ming seemed to be sacrificed but in fact, were also abandoned.
Settings like 40 Billion Dead Men are all from Tuf's Voyage. I have made some extensions and modifications. If you want to know more, you are welcome to read Tuf's Voyage.
Finally, why the image of Tuf was based on the picture of Varys in Game of Thrones? It’s because Martin once said that if Tuf was made into a TV series, he would have an image similar to Varys.
[[Talk about the environmental science of Shadowland]]
Speaking of the big pit in the center of the junction, it may not be a meteorite now, but it may be dug directly by Malika. However, it is still difficult to match up the map of Shadow Land and the border area, so I still reserve my opinion.
There are only two points Huanxue wants to say.
One is the nature of the Holy War. It is repeatedly mentioned in the game that the nature of the Holy War is aggression, and the description of the Crusaders yearning for the White Tower of the Horned Man, and the fact that there is no honor in killing, and the soul of the Black Knight is corrupted by this. Overall, it is an absolutely negative attitude.
Based on the principle of respecting the text setting, it is impossible for me to agree with the Jihadi Army.
Regarding the conflict between the people of Shadowland and the Golden Tree, after the DLC comes out, the chronology of various events does not need to be mentioned again. But I understand and create in another way - that is, FS deliberately blurs the timeline and causality. You don't see why Malika aligns with the Horned Men, nor why the Horned Men view witches as inherently sinners. This point actually echoes the ontology, which regards the furnace-related as a born sinner.
In the DLC, we may have found a more direct reason why the golden tree regards the furnace as filthy. Then thinking further, is the reason why the horned people regard the wizard as filthy, is it also some kind of unfair reason that is just distorted?
Some people speculate that the persecution of the witch is because the witch's predecessor was the Eternal City, committed a great death, and cut his mother's finger as retribution. I have reservations.
When I clear away the fog of this fragmented narrative, what do I see? That is, many different tribes are fighting against each other for some flimsy reasons.
The Horned Men are persecuting witches, and the Golden Tree is also persecuting other heretics. The actual harm they caused far exceeded what was reasonable.
These fragmented narratives of DLC, combined with the jihad, are like old historical accounts that cannot be cleared up, and cannot provide you with reasonable reasons for excessive sanctions.
At least the principle of unity of crime and punishment should be supported by the public. I can't delay the update and slap someone as a consequence, right?
Another ring science question is about the finger mother.
Some readers may think that I ended the story of the Ring Mother hastily because I wanted to play Black Monkey. In fact, Zhimu is the same as Supreme, that’s how I wanted to write it.
Many people think that the supreme will mentioned in the game actually refers to the mother, and that the mother is falsely conveying the imperial edict.
However, I still have some disagreements.
Because this is inconsistent with the performance of the two fingers of the round table of the ontology.
When faced with the problem of burning trees, Round Table Two Fingers did not act arbitrarily. Instead, they honestly asked the Supreme Being for instructions. If there was no response, they really stopped moving.
If the orders of Two Fingers were all issued by Zhimu, and Zhimu was pretending to pass on the imperial edict, then another assumption is needed, that is, Malika could cut the shadow land and seal even Zhimu's instructions.
But in fact, the Shadow Land itself is like a sieve. It's hard to say whether you can get out of the Shadow Land, but there are a lot of people who can enter the Shadow Land from the outside world. (I’m talking about you, Death Knight and Ancient Dragon Knight)
In short, I don't think Malika's character is comparable to that of Zhimu. Can block her signal. You can create a round table hall with just two fingers.
And if it is really blocked, there is another unexplainable problem, that is, compared with the honesty of Round Table's two fingers, Lani's two fingers are very proactive and will send shadows to chase Lani. The timeline where Lani and Two-Finger turned against each other was during the Night of the Black Knife, definitely after the sealing.
So the speculation that Malika can block the finger mother's command is untenable in my opinion.
Ymir said that when the finger mother abandons the child, the two fingers are the child.
Abandoning the two fingers is consistent with the fact that the two fingers cannot receive instructions.
But which event caused the damage to the thumb? There are two possibilities, one is that it broke when it landed, and the other is that the hunting finger knife was broken.
At present, the possibility of the latter is much greater, the so-called ancient blasphemy, the so-called treason of the Eternal City.
Damage to the thumb is a relatively late event.
At this time, let’s look at the text related to the Mother of Fingers mentioned that “The Mother of Fingers can receive messages from the Supreme Will──
Even though she was abandoned for destruction, still waiting for the message to come. "
Before it is damaged, the finger mother can receive the supreme message. At this time, the finger mother can really convey the imperial edict. After the damage, the description given to the finger mother was more like a full moon, depressed and no longer interfering with the outside world. She was always paying attention to the Supreme, waiting for the message to arrive, instead of starting to compile the message and then pass it to Two Fingers. It only said that the finger refers to the abandoned son of the mother.
At this time, I thought of the situation in Mersemer. What is the situation with Mersemer - he was also abandoned by his mother, and he continues to carry out his mother's orders to stay, but his mother has actually changed her mind long ago.
Considering the crazy repeated abandonment problem of DLC, I think this idea is most in line with my imagination——
That is, from the mother finger to the two fingers, they all have a certain degree of intelligence, and they can make some reactions based on what they have been taught in advance. Like pre-typed instructions.
And if something major happens outside of the situation, they can't make the decision themselves and can only ask their superiors for help. Once abandoned by their superiors, they can only continue to carry out current orders. Just like Mersemer.
I think this understanding can be compatible with various expressions of double fingers and mother fingers.
This is also how the plot is considered.
Of course, the relationship between fingers is too mysterious and may deviate from the truth to any extent.
In short, regarding the interpretation of environmental science, I feel that the current fragmentation is not enough for me to form an understanding that I very much agree with, and the explanations of various environmental scientists are also unconvincing to me. Therefore, I only dare to engage in secondary innovation, but I dare not say that I am an environmental expert.
However, although I am not confident in the plot, I am still very confident in the overall grasp and related content. At the beginning, I gave the Big Tree Guard a lot of respect, and some people told me that the protagonist's expressiveness was not strong, and the Tree Guard was weak. However, later statistics showed that the Big Tree Guard had the third highest number of kills in the game. What does it mean to understand the game? (Looking up)
【【Where is the Dragon Clan】】
I didn’t write much about either Baelor or Dragon King, simply because I didn’t know what to write about.
I can't think of anything to write about. I don’t know who the god of the Dragon King is, so I can’t write anything at all. At the beginning, I also felt that I had nothing to write, and writing it by force would lead to a bad impression, so I might as well not write it.
Speaking of which, the DLC is borrowing the plot of Ampach and Baylor to crazyly tell you about the human era. On the contrary, it is consistent with my original idea of making every king a king and essentially letting different kings represent different interests of the people. It coincides in spirit. It's just that this is my second creation, and the lines in the DLC are a bit abrupt. I have never expressed the shortcomings of gods so directly before.
[[About the origin of this book]]
As mentioned earlier, I was preparing material for the Ring of Magic novel, but in the end I didn’t write it. After half a year, Dharma Ring was no longer popular, so I started writing.
Here I think I should apologize to the fans of the Ring of Magic, because I actually don’t like the Ring of Magic that much.
My game time of Ring of Dharma is only 800 hours. Players who really understand it should understand that with the size of Ring of Dharma, if you play frequently, 3000 hours should be the base level, not counting PVP.
So even though I attended every press conference before the release, I even attended the pheasant press conference in Spain or somewhere, and read various interviews and books mentioned by old thieves, just to find any information about the magic ring. Before the release, I also predicted that at least It sold tens of millions of copies, and I thought it was the gotty of that year, but I was actually not that satisfied with the French Ring.
From the introduction to the first few chapters, you can probably tell that I am actually complaining about the designs in the game that make me unhappy.
Of course, I won’t go into details here, as this is not a meeting to criticize the elders. And I definitely support FS's innovation in general. DLC is coming out now. The DLC map is so sexy. It gets rid of the model of first looking for the map by looking at the map markers on the main body, and then looking for the content one by one according to the map. There is great potential.
This book has another origin, and concerns another matter.
As early as when I first started writing, someone left a message asking me if I was someone’s vest.
Yes, this size is indeed a waistcoat, but I am just a footwearer with the large size. The setting of the protagonist, a businessman, and the ending leading to the stars and the sea are actually scraps from another book of mine. Many plots are also written as experimental.
The book I had prepared so well at the beginning didn't get signed, so I had nothing to do and wrote a Dharma Ring fanfic, but in the end I got signed. Some people are embarrassed to read it, so they can only continue writing.
It is also because I have never been serious, so whether it is the update speed or the habit of not organizing the outline at all, I actually have no professional attitude, so the overall performance of the story is definitely not good. I just wrote those few chapters. It’s just a plot I want to write, and there’s not enough connection or even foreshadowing between them.
I have never promoted this book anywhere. I rely on Qidian's own push mechanism. I write some jokes that only old-timers can understand, and I don't care much about the results. I know that everyone likes to read cool stories, so I finished the plot of the cool story before putting it on the shelves. I am afraid that I will make everyone uncomfortable reading it because I respect the settings and theme settings too much. I am sorry for everyone.
I say this to say that there is no next book.
I know that these traffic is actually brought by the popularity of the magic ring. Everyone comes to see me for the face of the old thief.
This book does not have a professional attitude, but I still want to be professional-not to take advantage of the popularity, but to write a solid original story honestly, and it can really be welcomed.
So the popularity accumulated by this account has nothing to do with me, and I don't want to use the popularity of this account to prepare for the next new book. Moreover, the style of the new book may not be similar to this one, and I don't want to see old readers expect and be disappointed without authorization. It is better to start a new account and start from the beginning.
I may set up a vest later and prepare a new book well.
If we are destined to meet, see you in the rivers and lakes. If you are not lucky enough to read my book, it means that you do not like it, and it is not a pity.
I hope this book brings you spiritual pleasure. Finally, I wish you all can always find the books you like and the games you expect will not disappoint you.
