The Book of Troubled Times

Uh, Take a Day Off Tomorrow

I have been ill these days and my update schedule is not stable. I'd better take a rest and adjust my schedule.

In addition, I'd like to say a few words about the recent plots.

This plot has nothing to do with illness or anything like that, because the sense of substitution in this plot is necessarily lacking.

It is not like the previous situation where the protagonist is involved in a difficult situation and tries to break the situation - maybe it's just about surviving on a deserted island, but the big plot is not about these.

In the whole big plot, it is actually Lao Zhao who is involved in other people's stories, and through this he shows the characters on the sea, including loyal ministers, heroes, traitors, and the game between the forbearing emperor and the gods and demons.

In other words, these plots are about others, not Zhao Changhe. Zhao Changhe is just a detective role, unfolding these pictures for everyone.

He has no survival pressure, no sense of urgency, and the matter has nothing to do with him. It is understandable that you will get a boring feeling of "it's none of my business, I don't care" when reading.

And due to the limitation of Zhao Changhe's personal perspective, many details are invisible, which makes it seem "fast", because he can only see these. If he wants to expand and elaborate, there is nothing to say.

The reason for choosing this writing style is not to seek breakthroughs or create group portraits, because it is logically like this.

Things on the sea are none of his business. No one is targeting him. His strength is not as difficult as when he was weak before. He is already a character who can preside over the situation. Now he is taking the initiative to find trouble with the Sea King. As of now, he doesn't even know where the Sea King is, so naturally he has to get involved through other side stories. Of course, he can also deepen his relationship with Turtle by the way.

In other words, these chapters are a side story about others, not the story of the protagonist. I think many people who are interested in other people's stories say that they are well written; but those who think other people's stories are "none of my business" probably think that this paragraph is not about what.

But a book cannot be without other people's stories.

I remember when I wrote the postscript of "Ask the Way", I said that I wanted to expand the story of Jade Master and others, and write more from their perspective. Later, I gave up because I felt that many people would not read it if I wrote it that way. At that time, many people said that it would not work, it would work that way. Facts have proved that the choice I made back then was correct. The sense of substitution in other people's stories is just lacking.

Spreading hands.

Anyway, there will not be many such writings in the future. It is just a lead-in, so there is no need for everyone to get entangled. If you like this paragraph, read it carefully, and if you don't like it, just skip it.

As for those who say that "the conspiracy is not well written", please, there is no conspiracy from beginning to end... I really can't write well about something that does not exist.
