Mysteries of the Earthsea

Chapter 39 Vampires Join

It has been a month since the Narwhal returned to Coral Island.

After getting new clues on the ground, Charles couldn't wait to go to the chaotic city of Sodom immediately, but the crew couldn't hold on.

Giant butterflies, gods, vampires, everyone's face is full of exhaustion after experiencing this journey.

Charles didn't make it difficult for them. He knew that everyone was not an iron man. The crew needed a rest, and so did the Narwhal.

The turbine that was temporarily pressed was overwhelmed, and coupled with the damage to the hull caused by the sound wave, the Narwhal needed an overall overhaul.

Charles, who was standing on the boat, touched the edge of the boat distressedly, and said in a low voice, "Thank you for your hard work, companion."

"Mr. Charles, it seems that your voyage is not going well. Did you encounter any danger? Why did you suffer so much damage?"

The one who spoke was Wood who sold the ship to Charles.

At this time, Wood was surprised. He didn't expect that he would see the ship one day. He thought the ship had sunk to the bottom of the sea long ago.

He suddenly had a premonition that the young man in front of him might really have a chance to become the governor of the island.

"How much is the total?" Charles didn't have time to chat with others.

Wood quickly handed over the bill. "Replace the turbine, plus the heavy armor plate. The repair cost is a total of 1.21 million echoes."

Signing his name on the bill, Charles estimated in his mind the remaining funds.

The previous 1.6 million echo deducted the maintenance cost and the crew's salaries, and now there are only 150,000 left.

It seems quite a lot, but for the funds of an exploration ship, this is a dangerous value. If there is no income for the next voyage, then the entire Narwhal will not be able to operate.

He planned to go to Sodom for the next flight, and it was destined to be unpaid, which made him very embarrassed.

Charles walked out of the shipyard while thinking.

As soon as he came out, he saw Orderick wearing sunglasses standing by the side of the road, as if waiting for him. "What are you doing standing here?"

"Mr. Charles, is there any shortage of people on your ship? Please allow me to be your crew member." A somewhat excited Orderick lowered his head towards the footsteps in front of him.

"Sorry, my crew is full." After Charles decisively refused, he passed him shoulder to shoulder and walked towards the distant pier.

It's not to discriminate against him as a vampire, but it's impossible to have a blind man on any ship. What can a blind man who can draw do on the ship, draw portraits for the crew?

Before he could take a few steps, the anxious Orderick rushed forward fumbling. "Captain Charles, I am not a burden, I have advanced, and I have new abilities."

The black cloak squirmed continuously over the blind vampire, and after just two seconds, a black bat flew up and down Charles,

"Captain Charles, I'm already a baron. I already have the ability to transform. When I become a bat, I can see things without my eyes."

Looking at the bat, which was only half the size of his own arm, Charles shook his head. He flipped his right hand, and the revolver instantly appeared in his hand.

With a "snap", the bat fell to the ground and turned back into a blind vampire again. He covered his injured left shoulder with a painful expression.

"If you want to survive, you should be your painter."

Hearing the sound of footsteps gradually receding, Orderic hesitated for two seconds, and suddenly shouted: "Captain! Aren't you going to Sodom to find sunshine? I went there 40 years ago, and I can lead the way!!"

"I don't need your help, I have a way."

Orderic showed anxiety on his face, and quickly said again: "Mr. Charles! I can be your powerful combat force. Although I am blind, I am a vampire after all. My combat effectiveness is not inferior to that of your crew. !!"

After a long time, Charles' voice rang in his ears, "Aren't you afraid of the sun? Why are you following me?"

A wry smile appeared on Orderic's face. "You may not believe it. The salary of your crew for one mission is something I can't earn for several years. I am very envious. I don't want to have too many extravagances anymore. I just want to have a job and live a stable life Just go down."

Looking at the vampire in front of him, Charles had a strange expression. It was the first time he had seen such a miserable vampire.

"Captain Charles? Are you still there?"

"You're one of the sailors of the Narwhal."

"Thank you, Captain!!"

Traveling through eight years on August 3

Three days ago, my crew and I arrived safely at Coral Island.

The blind vampire joined my team. His character is a bit cowardly. I am not very satisfied, but being a sailor should not be a problem. His ability to transform into a bat can be used as a lookout at critical moments.

Vampires have a powerful healing ability. The last batch of sailors are all dead. I need to find some that are not easy to die.

Next, I plan to go to Sodom to find the kind of sunlight that can be contained in a box. If it is really sunlight, then there must be a way to the surface.

"Crack." The door was pushed open.

Charles, who was writing his diary, turned his head and saw Lily with drooping ears leading the mice in.

"Where have you been?" Charles asked.

Frustrated, Lily climbed onto the pillow along the bed sheet, and headed upwards in despair. "I won't tell you..."

Charles shook his head and closed the diary before standing up. "I'll go out and take a good look at the house."

The head of the mouse buried in the soft pillow stood up. "Mr. Charles, where are you going?"

"This Saturday, all the captains should come to the Explorers' Association to gather. I'll go and see what news there is."

"Sounds like fun! Take me to play!"

"Take a good look at the house." The indifferent Charles pushed the door and walked out.

Seeing the door being ruthlessly closed, Lily beat the pillow vigorously angrily. "Mr. Charles, what a nuisance!"

After punching hard a few times, she fell onto the pillow. "Hmph, if you don't take me to bed, I'll go to bed. When you go to bed at night, I'll annoy you to death."

As time passed, the dazed Lily was startled by a knock on the door.

Seeing the banging door, Lily was a little flustered. "Who? Who! There's no one inside!"

With a "click", the door lock was twisted abruptly, and a hideous and terrifying tentacle monster appeared at the door.

Seeing the twisted tentacles and giant angry eyes, Lily screamed in fright, and the brown mice immediately surrounded her, baring their fangs at the intruder.

The hideous tentacle monster saw the screaming mouse, and its body changed rapidly. An adult woman with a sexy and hot figure appeared in the room.

Lily stared wide-eyed at the beautiful woman in front of her. She knew that woman. It was a woman drawn by a blind artist.

"It turned out to be a mouse. It scared me. I just heard a woman's voice. I thought Gao Zhiming was stealing it behind my back."
