Judging from the "Lao Zi Hua Hu Jing", Shakyamuni is considered to be the incarnation or disciple of the Taishang Laojun. From this, it can be seen that the latter has similar statements, which is normal.

Of course, although Su Cheng is a Buddhist, generally speaking, orthodox Buddhism should resist the sayings in "Lao Zi Hua Hu Jing".

But what I have to admit is that at the beginning of the birth of Buddhism, Buddhism recognized the saying of "Lao Tzu Hua Hu", perhaps for the purpose of stabilizing its heels and preaching, or for other reasons, but "Lao Tzu Hua Hu Jing" was accepted in the early days. Both Buddhism and Taoism recognize this as a fact.

Therefore, from Liantiandao's point of view, "Lao Zi Hua Hu Jing" is well-founded.

But Buddhism is simpler and more straightforward. According to the Pure Land Sect: the so-called Nine Grades means that those who have completed their practice can go to the Western Paradise after death and sit on a lotus pedestal. The Ninth Grade Lotus Platform is the highest grade.

And these nine grades are: Vajra Terrace, Purple Gold Terrace, Golden Lotus Flower, Lotus Flower Terrace, Middle Grade Xiasheng Platform, Seven Treasure Lotus Flower, Precious Lotus Flower, Lotus Flower, and Golden Lotus Flower.

In other words, Nine Grades does not mean that the lotus has nine petals, but that there are nine kinds of lotus. The "Nine Grades Connected Terrace" where the Buddha sits is actually a "Golden Lotus". And the twelve-grade lotus platform in Hong Huang's novels... there is no such thing at all.

Of course, the saying about the Twelve Grades of Lotus Terraces is actually not from Honghuang novels, but from "Fengshen Yanyi".

In the Romance of Conferred Gods, during the Battle of Conferred Gods in the Shang Dynasty, a Taoist priest was captured by Taoist Zhunti, one of the two sages of the West.

The leading Taoist put Taoist Mosquito in a bag and handed it over to Boy Bailian to take care of it. And because Boy Bailian accidentally released Taoist Mosquito, the Holy Mother of Guiling, one of the four direct disciples of Jiejiao, was sucked to death by Taoist Mosquito.

However, this statement is obviously unreliable. There are many contradictions in "Feng Shen Yan Yi", some of them can be believed, but not all of them.

But in any case, Su Cheng learned from the Buddhist scriptures that the lotus flower, one of the nine symbols of Buddhism, also means in Taoism the achievement of a practitioner's experience in the evil world of five turbidities without being stained with excellence, which is of great significance.
