The Druid Master of Hogwarts

Chapter 662 Cats Are Very Patient when Hunting

In the greenhouse No. 3 of Hogwarts, Professor Sprout was explaining to students how to take care of fang geraniums.

In an empty flower pot next to it, a tabby cat was curled up inside, and its body was rising and falling slightly with its breathing.

Such scenes were no longer strange to Professor Sprout or other students in class, and no one had any opinions about Fish's behavior.

When Professor Sprout was halfway through his lecture, Fish in the flower pot suddenly shook his ears, then jumped out in a flash, and quickly restored his human form, pretending to listen carefully.

A moment later, a short and fat figure pushed the door open.

Umbridge widened her toad eyes and scanned among the students, but most of the time, she still kept her eyes on Fish. After seeing the good student look of the cat, Umbridge frowned tightly.

"What do you want, Professor Umbridge?" Professor Sprout said calmly, "Also, can you please close the greenhouse door? The plants here are very sensitive to temperature."

"Oh, of course."

Umbridge smiled fakely, then took two steps into the greenhouse and closed the door with her backhand.

Then she continued to pinch her throat like a little girl and asked softly, "Is the class going well, Pomona? Is there any student who is disobedient?"

As she spoke, she glanced at Fish again.

Fish looked at her expressionlessly.

"No, everyone is very studious." Professor Sprout said with a smile.

"Really? Then I won't bother you." Umbridge's face darkened slightly, and she glanced at Fish again before leaving Greenhouse No. 3.

"I don't think Umbridge will give up." After class, Hermione reminded Fish as she returned to the castle: "Sooner or later, she will figure out why she can't catch you. The Silencing Charm and the Deodorizing Charm are not complicated spells."

"Don't worry, Hermione, Fish has already made preparations!"

Mao Mao is not stupid enough to rely only on his hearing and sense of smell. He put a wild mark on Umbridge early on and kept track of her movements at all times.

In addition to preventing himself from being caught by Umbridge, it is also to prepare for dealing with her later.

Next, Umbridge made surprise inspections of Fish's class several times, and squatted outside the Gryffindor dormitory for one or two hours every night, but she failed to catch Mao Mao violating school rules.

In order to teach Fish a lesson, she even came to audit a history of magic. Harry and the others were still sighing in secret, but they found that Umbridge fell asleep first...

The subsequent development was just as Hermione expected. After wasting a week, Umbridge finally thought of hiding her footsteps and smell.

However, under Fish's wild mark, her whereabouts were completely untraceable. The cat could always restore its human form before she entered the classroom, and then pretend to listen to the class seriously. None of the professors and students in the class would betray Fish, so Umbridge had been doing useless work.

The situation was the same for night tours. Fish basically gave up wandering around the castle. Every night, he and Hermione jumped out of the window, landed on the back of Umbridge who came to pick them up, and ran directly to the Forbidden Forest to play. Occasionally, if they wanted to walk around the castle, they would ask Harry to borrow his invisible cloak...

Anyway, no one can expect the cat to obey the school rules!

Umbridge, who knew nothing about this, stared at Firth for a while, and then confidently believed that her method had worked. She succeeded in making Firth obedient and dared not violate school rules recklessly.

She even wrote to Cornelius Fudge to take credit and report her achievements during this period to him.

And Fudge didn't know what he was thinking, but he actually published this matter in the Daily Prophet to show how wise his decision to intervene in Hogwarts affairs was. Even Firth, a student that Dumbledore couldn't control, became a good student who abided by the rules with the efforts of Umbridge, the senior investigator...

Then Cornelius Fudge and Umbridge received a bunch of howlers, all from the patients and their relatives and friends who were treated by Firth at St. Mungo's.

They didn't care about the Minister of Magic and the senior investigator. Anyway, it was not okay to let the cat be wronged!

When the red Howlers exploded in the Hogwarts Hall, Umbridge's toad face was so black that ink was about to drip out. Amid the laughter of other teachers and students, she didn't even eat breakfast and fled the hall in a panic.

Although those Howlers made Umbridge lose face, she certainly couldn't revoke the "Educational Order No. 29" because of this. However, after (she thought) Fish admitted defeat, she gradually put her focus back on the matter of causing trouble for Dumbledore.

The first thing Umbridge did was to pick out a few insignificant mistakes and expel Hagrid, who was on probation. However, except for Harry and other Gryffindor students who were indignant about this, even Hagrid himself did not react much.

"I thought this day would come when she kept me on probation." Hagrid calmly comforted Harry who was fighting for him, and then said with a relaxed look: "Now I'm just back to my job as gamekeeper, not kicked out of Hogwarts."

With Dumbledore around, Umbridge could remove Hagrid's teaching position, but she couldn't kick him out of the school, which made her particularly unhappy.

Umbridge even considered whether to apply to Minister Fudge for another education order that could kick the dismissed faculty out of Hogwarts, but after considering her current situation, she finally gave up the idea.

"Obviously, there is nothing wrong with your recent teaching..." Harry was still mumbling unwillingly, and inadvertently revealed that he had some opinions about Hagrid's previous courses.

Fortunately, Hagrid's personality was carefree, and he didn't notice the wrongness of his words.

"Don't worry about me, Harry..." Hagrid reached out and patted Harry's shoulder to comfort him, and successfully made him stumble and kneel on the ground.

"Ah, sorry..." He apologized while reaching out to pull Harry up from the ground, "It just so happens that I have more time to teach Grawp."

Hagrid excitedly talked about his half-brother, "He has learned to thank people now... Although sometimes the occasion is not quite right..."

And Harry was "interrupted" by him, and no longer entangled in this problem, and chatted with Hagrid in a casual manner.

Just when Harry and the others were chatting with Hagrid, Fish, who was pulled by Hermione to comfort Hagrid, rarely joined in. He just sat aside, "crunching" and chewing Hagrid's special rock skin cake, his pair of green eyes rolling around, and his tail behind him swinging like a pendulum.

The fact that Hagrid was expelled was actually telling the cat that it was time to take action against Umbridge.

It was another rainy day. Even with an umbrella, I was soaked... Although the weather is much cooler, I would rather be hotter. At least there is air conditioning.
